About Us

Custom Cellular has been locally owned and operated since 1985. Owners, Rick and Cindy McKuin, founded the business with customer service as their number one goal.

Starting out with one location, Rick personally visited customers at their homes or businesses to do their installations as well as provided service to his customers after the phones were installed.

About a year after opening the business, there was such a demand that Rick and Cindy felt they needed to bring someone on board to help with the installations. That's when they hired Scott Irvin. Scott has been with Custom Cellular ever since and is now the head of the IT department.

Cheryl Briggs was then hired as a secretary, and after some time at that position, she transitioned to sales and is also with us today. We're proud of the long-term commitment of such employees, as they are a critical part of our day-to-day operation.

Approximately five years ago, Rick Fessler came on board as a sales person and by believing in and carrying out the long standing tradition of customer service, he worked his way up to become general manager.

With most large companies, the larger they get, the less focus there is on customer service. Custom Cellular prides itself on being the complete opposite. The larger we get, the MORE focus we have on customer service. This is why we have the largest customer loyalty base of any Cingular agent in the St. Louis area.

We have grown from a single location to seventeen locations around the St. Louis metro area and continue to grow while keeping true to our "customer-service FIRST" philosophy.
